SYNOPSIS: Aliou, a burgeoning student at Les Beaux-Arts in Paris, sells a painting of his dead mother for 3000 euros to a famous collector. Upon delivering the painting, he is taken on a journey through which he will bear the burden of the money he has just earned. – via Mubi

I’ve always been a huge fan of American cinema, and at some point, I noticed that all the characters I loved shared one particular trait: they all wanted to be financially free no matter what, because that’s how the country is built.” Read the full article here.
